- Welcome to GISSV
  The German International School of Silicon Valley is an independent, nonprofit preschool–grade 12 school with two locations in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Admissions
- Meeting Students’ Needs From Preschool Through High School
  GISSV welcomes students of all cultural and ethnic backgrounds. We serve students from two to eighteen years old.
- Enrollment
  The enrollment period begins during the months of January and February of each year for the upcoming school year. We also accept new students throughout the school year based on availability. Knowledge of the German language is required for all children who enroll after 1st grade (See also our German Fast Track Program).

Welcome to our New Head of School

Please join us in welcoming Mrs. Kathrin Röschel to GISSV as our new Head of School!

Mrs. Röschel is joining our community from Berlin where she was the principal of the Gail S. Halvorsen Schule and, before that, principal at the bilingual John F. Kennedy School. Please join us in making Mrs. Röschel and her family feel most welcome to GISSV and the Bay Area.

We continue to express our deep gratitude to Mr. Mario Cimiotti, Head of GISSV High School, for serving as the Interim Head of School and for successfully leading the school in the past 20 months, providing reassurance, guidance, and leadership while gaining widespread respect and recognition.
