Young STEM Racers Connect with Intl. Champions

Yesterday morning, GISSV's STEM Racing students took part in an international Meet & Greet that connected participants from Germany, the United States, France, Ukraine, and Italy.

As the youngest students on the call, our 9- and 10-year-old team members had a unique opportunity to meet fellow STEM Racing participants, teachers, sponsors, jury members, and even national and world champions. During the session, students introduced themselves, learned about different teams and their projects, and gained valuable insights into the world of STEM Racing.

A highlight of the event was the breakout room discussions, where students could ask questions directly, exchange ideas, and hear first-hand experiences from some of the competition's most successful participants. They particularly enjoyed speaking with Timo from Team evolut1on, the 2024 STEM Racing World Champions from Germany, as well as STEM Racing experts Alexander Uelhoff and Moritz Zimmermann, who shared their experiences, advice, and insights into what it takes to succeed at the highest level of the competition.

The Meet & Greet was designed to foster international connections and encourage more young people to participate in the global engineering competition. For our students, it was an exciting chance to be part of a worldwide community of future engineers, innovators, and problem-solvers.

We are grateful to organizer Susann Kunz and all participants for creating such a welcoming and inspiring experience. Our students left the session with new ideas, new connections, and plenty of motivation for their own STEM Racing journey.
