Student Support

Supporting Every Student to Thrive
At GISSV, student well-being is central to learning. We support students socially, emotionally, and personally so they feel safe, connected, and ready to learn.
Our support services are available from Preschool through Grade 12.
Inclusion Specialists
Our Inclusion Specialists work with students who benefit from additional support due to learning differences or physical challenges. They collaborate with teachers to adapt instruction, provide individualized or small-group support, and help ensure that all students can fully participate in classroom life.
Counselors
Our school counselors support students’ social-emotional well-being and personal development.
They focus on:
- emotional support and coping strategies
- social relationships and peer interaction
- conflict resolution and communication skills
- student well-being and resilience
- transitions between grade levels
Counselors help students feel supported, confident, and connected within the school community.
A Coordinated Support Approach
Student well-being at GISSV is supported through close collaboration between counselors, inclusion specialists, and teachers.
Together, they ensure that students are supported as individuals — socially, emotionally, and developmentally — throughout their school journey.
