About
- Welcome to GISSV
  The German International School of Silicon Valley is an independent, nonprofit preschool–grade 12 school with two locations in the San Francisco Bay Area.
- Learning in German and English
  Our high-quality dual-immersion education helps students reach their full potential in a stimulating environment that fosters critical and imaginative thinking, a passion for lifelong learning and an appreciation for cultural diversity.
Admissions
- Meeting Students’ Needs From Preschool Through High School
  GISSV welcomes students of all cultural and ethnic backgrounds. We serve students from two to eighteen years old.
- Enrollment
  The enrollment period begins during the months of January and February of each year for the upcoming school year. We also accept new students throughout the school year based on availability. Knowledge of the German language is required for all children who enroll after 1st grade (See also our German Fast Track Program).

Campuses & Camps

With locations in Mountain View and San Francisco, the school has two campuses that can be easily reached by families living throughout the area.

Preschool - Kindergarten - Grade 1-12

Two Locations - One Program: Both our locations and school divisions work together to create a cohesive educational experience across grades and campuses. The campuses adhere to the accreditation requirements of the German government and offer the same educational philosophy, curriculum guidelines and similar student-to-teacher ratios.

Our campuses currently serve the following age groups:

Mountain View: Preschool to 12th Grade
San Francisco: Preschool to 8th Grade

Saturday School

On Saturdays, we offer German language and culture to all members of our extended community - from toddlers to adult learners - on the Mountain View Campus.

Summer Camp(s)

In the summer, GISSV offers on-site summer camp(s) on its Mountain View and San Francisco campuses open for enrollment to children ages 3.6yrs to 14yrs, with a Counselors in Training (CIT) program for high school students.
