After-School Program

Dino Club

The regular Kibili program for the five-day groups ends daily at 1:30 pm. Children who are signed up for the afternoon program then join the "Dino Club", where children from all Kibili age groups meet and stay together for the afternoon. Children in the preschool groups are able to finish their naps and join the afternoon club at 2:30 pm.

The Dino Club offers activities inside and outside. Rather than participating in project work, children are free to choose materials and explore their own interests. The activities offered by our teachers are geared towards children of all Kibili programs and address a wide range of learning areas. The Dino Club teachers also work in the Kibili program in the morning so children are familiar with them.

Children can also participate in external afternoon activities such as soccer, ballet or cooking class. Kibili teachers will make sure to bring and pick up your child from external activities on campus. Sign-up is offered twice a year at the beginning of each semester. Classes have a separate fee structure and are run by external staff. Exact dates and class descriptions will become available beforehand.

The afternoon care was established in consideration of the specific needs of our school community. The focus of the Afternoon Club lies on completion of homework assignments, which is accomplished under supervision of our Afternoon Club staff who work in close cooperation with the class/subject teachers, and free play to give students time to relax after the school day. Daily changing activities within the Afternoon Club and a snack complement the offer of the afternoon care.

The Afternoon Club is available for children in elementary school (grades one to four) and middle school (grades five to eight). The Afternoon Club ends at 5:00pm. Extended care is available until 5:30pm (times vary by location).

An extensive range of afternoon activities is available to students in grades one to twelve. The list includes activities that enable our students to play sports, make music, be artistic, apply and strengthen their acquired bilingual language skills, or to perform science and math experiments.

Registration is required at the beginning of each school semester, when afternoon activities are published. Please understand that spaces are given on a "first come, first serve" basis.
