School-wide GISSV Sommerfest 2022

We’re excited to invite the entire GISSV community from
Mountain View and San Francisco
to our GISSV Sommerfest on Friday, June 17 from 4pm to 9pm
at the GISSV Mountain View Campus.
This is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate together with all of our families.

Program

4:00 pm Welcome to Sommerfest
4:30 pm Greeting from School Leadership
4:50 pm International Food Opens
5:00 pm Stage Performances Kibili, Elementary, Middle School
6:30 pm LIVE Auction
8:00 pm Dance DJ'ed by High School
9:00 pm Goodbye

The GISSV Sommerfest activities will include:

Food and Refreshments

GISSV will cater German style bratwurst, traditional style Mexican street tacos, and for our vegetarians savory falafels.

In addition, we would love to display the cultural diversity that exists within the GISSV community. Parents are invited to bring international foods to share, whether it’s savory, sweet, vegetarian, etc. Please sign up on ParentBooker. (This will count towards your volunteer requirement.)

Music, Art, and Performances

Student Performances:
Our Kibili, Elementary and Middle School students from both campuses have put together an adorable and exciting program.

Student Art:
Come and see a selection of what students have been working on during the school year: Sneak by the art exhibition created by Middle and High School students from MV and SF.

Dance:
Starting at 8pm, DJ'ed by High School students.

Auction

We are happy to announce that Rachel Britten, auctioneer from KLM Auctions, runs our first live school auction in three years! Rachel has been at our last two virtual auctions and at our live auction in 2019.

Transportation

2:30pm leaving SF Campus to MV | 8:15pm leave MV to return to SF
We have secured a 56 passenger bus to leave the San Francisco Campus on Friday, June 17 at 2:30pm and will then leave the Mountain View Campus at 8:15pm (to allow for auction checkout items).

Sign up: Please fill in this form to reserve your seat(s) on the bus. Seats will be awarded on a first come first serve basis.

Parking

Parking on the Mountain View Campus might be difficult, but there are ample spaces on the side streets.
Please consider carpooling or public transportation.

Silent & Live Auction

The GISSV Online Auction takes place from June 12 -17 with a LIVE (in person) auction event at the Sommerfest (start 6:30pm).

Auction Catalog
Proceeds from this year's auction will benefit needed campus improvements in Mountain View and San Francisco.

How do I register?

We've created a checklist for you!

Step1:
Register directly on our bidding page using the device of your choice at https://gissv2022.ggo.bid. Click on the "Get Started" button in the middle of the right side page.

Step 2:
Click "Create Account" and type in your email address. Hit confirm, and you should get a verification email in the next few minutes. Verify your account by clicking the link in the verification email.

Step 3:
Finish setting up your account by submitting: Credit card information, cell phone number (US-based number preferred), and billing address.

How do I preview the items in the auction catalog?

You can view the items in the catalog at: https://gissv2022.ggo.bid

Be sure to visit this catalog often as new items will be added during the week. In addition, we will make note of the item(s) to be open for bidding during the livestream event.

What items will be featured in the Live Auction on June 17? Do I need to attend in person to bid on items?

Items featured in the Live Auction will include:

Four handmade wreaths made from flowers made by each student from MV and SF.

To bid on the student art wreaths in the Live Auction, participants must be in attendance on Friday, June 17. Participants will have a bid card they can use to participate in bidding.

How do I receive the item(s) I win in the auction?

Sommerfest attendees will have the opportunity to pick up items at auction checkout at the end of the event on June 17. For winners of Silent/Online Auction items who do not attend, we will send details to winners on how they can pick up their item(s) at their home campus location before the end of the school year.
