Preschool-12 Dual Language Education in
Two Locations in the Bay Area

Middle School Camp MV: Age 10 - 14

Our camp for kids age 10-14 blends classroom study of the German language in the morning with engaging activities in the afternoon.

Morning German classes are separated into language level groups with max. 12 students and one teacher. In the classroom, instructors teach in German exclusively, no matter the level of German.

Activities are exciting, active, and social, and offer a "lived" experience of German. Instructors speak mostly German, with a sprinkling of English to ensure everyone can follow along.

Our camp is a two week-long or multi-week intensive immersive German environment that brings students closer to the language and culture, and to their peers who share a connection with or interest in German.

Due to our regulations this year, groups always stay in the same setting for language classes and afternoon activities. Activities will  change daily. A set afternoon activity schedule will be send out to all language classes once available. For more information about variety of activities see below.

Language Explorer
Did you ever wonder where words come from? Have fun with your multilingualism while exploring all major languages, funny false friends, special expressions, translation tricks, and phonetic peculiarities.

Zumba Dance & Culture

Zumba® Kids features kid-friendly routines based on original Zumba® choreography. We break down the steps, add games, activities and cultural exploration elements into the class structure. During the class, kids get the chance to be active and jam out to their favorite music. Giving children an outlet to jump, dance, shake, and swing their hips, it’s the perfect recipe for fitness fun.

Students write, direct, produce and market the next German classic! A great way for creative, problem-solving kids to collaborate on a fun project, while learning about basic video editing tools, as well as narrative and story-telling (and advertising!) in German. The film will be screened during Friday lunches.

Fashion and Jewelry Design

We will work with all kinds of materials to make hats, basic clothes, earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and anything else you design! Students will learn to sketch and problem-solve their ideas before making them into something they can wear and show off.

Acrylic Painting on Canvas
Acrylic painting on canvas opens up your hidden talents in capturing nature. Kids learn to see a picture out of a different perspective, think abstractly and be precise in detail. With simple paintbrush strokes, kids can create a finished artwork. We also learn about great artists like Picasso and Dalí, and discuss the reasons for their work.

Mad Scientist
Science plays an important role in helping kids explore and understand the world around them. In this hands-on class, we will be learning about biology, chemistry and physics by conducting experiments, observing our environment and recording our results.

Textile Design

Experiment with textile materials such as fabric, wool and yarn, and learn how to crochet, felt, knit, sew, weave and braid! Projects include sewing stuffed animals, working with the sewing machine, and making different kids of bags.

Latin American Dances

Collaborate on fun choreographies, and learn the basics of salsa, cha-cha-cha & co. Even with ballroom dance, the emphasis is always on enjoying the movement and fun exercise.
