It is 15 years ago that I embarked on the journey of raising bilingual children. Back then, I lived and worked in the English-speaking part of Canada, was married to an Englishman and was expecting my first child. Now I have four children, born in 2003, 2006, 2010, and 2012.
Although they have never lived in Germany and their father still knows little German, I am proud to say that all of them are fully bilingual! Some of their language skills are certainly due to their teachers at GISSV......and while they are still receiving, I am happy to give back!
In my pre-California life, I was a Professor of Mathematics, researching and teaching the Mathematical Foundations of Public-Key Cryptography at the University of Waterloo in Waterloo, Ontario. I love to teach!
Lastly, I was born and raised in Marburg/Lahn, and have also lived, learned, and worked in Berlin, Saarbrücken, and Darmstadt before leaving Germany for Canada in 1998.
