I was born and raised just outside of Trier, the oldest city in Germany. I lived in Mainz for graduate school, then romantic Heidelberg, where I started my first job in the IT industry. After that I resided in Munich, the capital of Bavaria – famous for Oktoberfest.
In 2011, I moved to the US and have been enjoying California living ever since. A big outdoor fan, you'll find me riding my mountain bike, skiing in the Sierras, or hiking in the Santa Cruz Mountains in my free time.
Even though I'm a Silicon Valley engineer today, teaching has always been my passion. I have a degree in secondary education instruction and lectured at the Cooperative State University in Mannheim, Germany. I conduct trainings for my current employer and teach German for adults at the Samstagsschule. I'm also a book author and enjoy being part of adult education programs.
