I am from a small town in Germany in Brandenburg and I moved to the Bay Area together with my husband and my little son five years ago. After studying in Leipzig and Berlin, I hold a Diploma, a German equivalent of a Master's degree, in Political Science from the Free University of Berlin in Germany.
After working more than five years in public relations and governmental relations, I gradually grew a deep interest in Education and Psychology. So I am currently studying Psychology at the German University of Hagen, a university renowned for excellence in distance teaching.
I love to work and interact with children. As a volunteer at the Bechtel International Center at Stanford I organized a lot of classes for children such as singing circles as well as movement and fun activities groups. Since three years, I am working as a German teacher at the GISSV Saturday School, teaching classes 7 and 8. I also work at the GISSV Spring and Summer camps, teaching German language and music.
I am very happy to be part of this wonderful GISSV team and make learning German a unique experience.
