School and Camp Operations under COVID SF
Summer Camp 2021
The GISSV Summer Camp will offer its full on campus program 5 days per week with afternoon activities.
Although we do not expect it and if the guidance requires it, a distance learning possibility will be made available for classes that have to stay at home for medical reasons.
The county requires that children may not move from one program to another more often than every 3 weeks. Therefore we were forced to offer a summer camp with sessions containing at least 3 weeks.

Daily Health Screening
We are using Magnus Health to have parents complete a daily COVID-19 screening assessment of their student(s) each morning prior to drop off/arrival at school. The Magnus Mobile app allows parents to complete this easily from a smartphone in just a few clicks. Currently the screening can only be completed through the app. This screening process helps us to create the safest possible environment for your children and our faculty & staff. At the completion of the quick survey each morning, you will receive a message for the student’s attendance instruction for that day. We’ve included an instruction sheet here for you to review and setup the app on your phone.
With the day your child is coming to summer school, you have access to begin completing the Magnus Health COVID-19 Daily Screening for your student(s). You access the screening via the button titled “COVID-19.” Thank you for your cooperation in this daily screening as it is an imperative function of our safety protocols. All parents must submit the screening each morning for GISSV prior to drop off/arrival at the school.
Timely submission of health information is vital so that preparations can be made prior to the start of each school day. Please reserve 1 to 2 minutes per child to complete this each morning. The screening cannot be completed the night before. The system resets daily at midnight. Any screening submitted prior to midnight counts towards the previous day.
Parents are required to show the result of the screening for their child for that morning at the in-person temperature check stations. A student must pass both in order to be granted access to the campus that day. Should a student not pass one or the other, the student must remain home and can participate in distance learning for that day.
Questions or Problems? For any school policy or attendance questions please contact our camp management at camp@gissv.org.
For any technical issues with the mobile app such as login problems, or problems completing the screening please contact customer support at Magnus Health SMR by phone at 877.461.6831 or by email at service@magnushealthportal.com.
Also, please feel free to consult the Magnus Health Privacy and Security page at www.magnushealth.com/privacy-and-security/

Campus Documents

We greatly appreciate the timely completion of these requirements to allow for the necessary processing.
Campus Rules

- All parents must submit the Magnus Health screening each morning for GISSV prior to drop off/arrival at the school.

Waiver
The Santa Clara County has approved our waiver for the Mountain View Campus.
Mountain View: Drop Off/Pick Up
Below are our revised COVID regulations for Drop off and Pick up. Please follow these to make the traffic flow as quick as possible for you and for all families.
DROP OFF
Drop-off begins at 8:45 am for Elementary students and at 8:55am for Middle School students (classes start at 9 am/ 9.05am) and at 9:00 am for Preschool and Kindergarten students. Please do not come early.
- All parents complete Magnus Health App before entering the GISSV parking lot. If you do not have the app ready to show, you will be asked to continue and circle the parking lot again.
- Preschool parents continue to park in short term parking area and bring their children to the drop off area in the park. Kindergarten parents can use short term parking as well and drop off their children at disabled parking lot. All other parents may not exit vehicles or park on parking lot.
- Please display your child(ren)'s name and grade on the passenger side of your windshield. Please wear masks when dropping off your children.
- Students need to sit on the right side of the vehicle, fully ready to quickly exit when you arrive at the end of the Drop off zone, see map. Students may only exit on the right side of the vehicle.
- All parents show our much appreciated drop off support volunteers the green go on the app and tell them your child's name, which should also be displayed in vehicle (see point 3).
- Students exit the vehicle only after parent shows app and is cleared by support team.
- Parents then continue driving to allow the next family to drop off.
In the past, some families chose to drop off and pick up their older students off campus. If you choose to do this on your own responsibility and at your own risk, or your student walks or bikes to campus, please make sure your student has a screenshot of the completed Magnus Health app on a readily available device and enters on the left side facing the school. The health screening can only be done by the parents; the students cannot have the app on their devices. We also encourage you to make sure that everyone follows all rules pertaining to traffic and pedestrian safety at times.
For parking lot safety, if you have a Preschool or Kindergarten child, we ask that you drop off your P/K child first and then go through the drive through with your older child(ren).
As before, students driving themselves have to find street parking and may not park in the GISSV parking lot.
