Later I became a Latin teacher at the Studienseminar Dillenburg and a German teacher at the IB (Internationaler Bund) Siegen, where I taught German as a second language to Russian immigrants.
I continued my studies in German and Economics at the University of Siegen and obtained additional degrees. In 1992, my family and I moved to the Bay Area/California. While taking care of my young children, I worked as a translator for technology companies for several years and as a parent in the Redwood Parents' Nursery School in Redwood City/Woodside, CA. In 2000 we became one of the founding families of the GISSV. Since 2002, I have been working as the part-time Latin teacher for middle and high school classes at the GISSV: teaching and overseeing the Latinum- examinations. In 2009, I was responsible for the first Latinum at the GISSV.
